On the death of my dad

How fitting of you to pass during the most beautiful season of change. I think of you watching the leaves change color as they prepare for their own transition and release themselves from the trees that supported their life. I think of you shivering as wind gusts through branches and leaves fall to earth, making way for new life. I can’t put into words the love and gratitude I have for you, so I plan to show you my love and gratitude by growing, writing, loving and surrounding myself with life.

I hope you are warm. I hope you don’t feel alone. I hope you are flying, seeing Alaska and reconnecting to all the souls you loved and missed connecting with. I hope you have forgotten pain. I hope you know how much you will be missed. I love you dad. God speed. Have an amazing adventure.
